A fun, simple way to practice the" Divide shapes into equal parts " lesson on fractions using winter-themed differentiated activities. The concept of "equal parts" can be critical for kids as fractions can only be used to represent shapes that are divided into equal parts. In these worksheets, students will draw lines to divide shapes into two, three, and four equal parts.

This resource is differentiated into three levels and is perfect because it offers support for your below-level learners and above! These fraction worksheets are perfect to reach all your learners!

Note that you can provide the three levels to one student if you want him to grasp the concept of dividing shapes gradually, all you need to do is rearrange each activity by level. As a tutor, I personally use this method with all of my students :)

WHAT DO YOU GET?

Included are 15 worksheets that are DIFFERENTIATED at 3 levels:

  • Level 1: Dividing shapes into equal parts by tracing the lines.
  • Level 2: Dividing shapes into equal parts using reference points.
  • Level 3: Dividing shapes into equal parts using only symmetry skills, each shape is drawn without any aids.

There are 5 pages in each level to work on:
